From Houston to Dakar, Barcelona to Antananarivo, Dar es Salaam to Paris — and many more stops along the way — I have never quite stopped moving. The world is too interesting to stay in one corner of it. Somewhere along the way I picked up enough languages that there are currently five of them fighting for space in my head. It is a miracle anyone understands me.
I lead with conviction, walk into every room in the boldest outfit, killer heels included, and have never once believed that fitting in was the point.

Well-behaved women seldom make history. I am proudly unruly.

I am currently a VP at TotalEnergies, President of the Fondation MAM, and an advocate for women, for access to energy, and for the continent I carry everywhere I go. I love art in all its forms, words above almost everything else, and the particular kind of sunset that makes you stop mid-sentence. I find joy deliberately, in the middle of the hard stuff, because waiting for the other side has never made sense to me.
One last thing — it is Marieme-Sav. Check the spelling. Two names, one hyphen, non-negotiable. Take your time. Learn it by heart.
No rush. This is the long way around — and the only one worth taking.
